Learn to dive from scratch, in small groups and followed step by step. First try dive free, SSI certification valid all over the world.
Looking for a scuba diving course in Rome? At Top One Diving you learn to dive even if you start from zero. You begin with a free try dive in a heated pool in the EUR district, continue with theory (convenient, online) and practical sessions, all the way to the open-water dives that earn you the Open Water Diver, the first SSI certification recognised worldwide.
We’ve been a scuba school in Rome since 2010: small groups, SSI and DAN instructors always in the water with you, and a path built around your schedule. Dives take place along the Lazio coast — from Santa Marinella to the Tor Paterno Marine Protected Area — and from there you can grow with advanced, specialty and, if you wish, professional levels.
1A no-commitment first taste: you breathe underwater for the first time, in complete safety.
2Online theory whenever you like and sessions in a heated pool in EUR to master the skills.
3You put it into practice in the Lazio sea and earn your Open Water Diver certification.
Thousands of certifications issued and a community of members who keep diving with us.
Few students per instructor: more attention, more safety, more fun.
The SSI certification is recognised worldwide and never expires.
All-inclusive package: you know exactly what you pay, with no surprises at sea.
Concrete details on how we follow every student, from the pool to the sea.
A maximum of 4 students per instructor, with a certified assistant always present: you are closely supported in every exercise.
Practical sessions take place one evening a week in a heated pool, with our emergency oxygen unit on site.
Dives take place at real Tyrrhenian sites — Santa Marinella, Civitavecchia, the Tor Paterno Marine Protected Area, the Island of Giglio — chosen according to the course and the participants’ level.
We provide the full equipment for the course, serviced and checked. The dive computer stays personal: it’s the first piece of gear we recommend buying (find out why in the FAQ).
SSI certified training; for the Open Water course, basic DAN insurance is included in the price. At sea we rely on dive centres equipped with oxygen and first aid.
After the course you carry on with us: weekend outings, short or long weekends and trips in Italy and abroad. With the ASD membership (€30/year) you get access to all the club’s activities.
A course tailored to your schedule, small groups, real sea dives and the safety of certified training.
You set dates, pace and times around your commitments: evening and weekend courses too, and you move on when you feel ready.
Few people per instructor: more attention, more safety and more time in the water for you.
From theory to real dives along our coast, with equipment always included in the pool.
SSI and DAN certified training, with standards and procedures always respected.
Clear prices, all-inclusive, no surprises. Your first step with us is free.
You never forget your first breath underwater: discover the thrill of moving through a new world, guided step by step by an instructor. The pool try dive is on us — our way of thanking you for your trust.
How the try dive worksYour first certification: dive independently down to 18 m anywhere in the world.
Pool equipment is always included. Rental only applies to the sea dives: if you bring your own scuba gear you pay €470, if you rent it from us €570.
Don't be guided by the starting price alone, which may look higher at first glance: look at what's really included. Professionalism, safety and transparency make the difference — and with us you know exactly what you pay from the start, no surprises.
Advanced and specialty courses (Advanced, Deep, Wreck, Nitrox, Navigation) from €155.
The price shown is for the course only. Sea dives, where required, are extra (from €25); equipment available on request.
To take part in the club's activities you need to become a member: annual membership is €30 and includes insurance and access to all our activities.
The first pool try dive is free. The Open Water Diver, the first certification, starts from €470 all-inclusive (course + sea dives), with no hidden costs. We tell you exactly what’s included from the start.
Usually 4-6 weeks: theory online whenever you like, a few pool sessions in EUR and 4 sea dives. We fit around your schedule, weekends included.
You just need to be comfortable in the water and swim a little: you don’t have to be an athlete. A sports medical certificate confirms you’re fit to dive.
From age 10 with junior paths; there’s no upper limit. We have students of every age, from teenagers to over-60s.
Theory online, practice in a heated pool in EUR, and sea dives along the Lazio coast, such as Santa Marinella and the Tor Paterno Marine Protected Area.
You earn the Open Water Diver SSI: recognised worldwide, valid for life, letting you dive to 18 metres with a buddy.
