Looking for a scuba diving course in Rome? At Top One Diving you learn to dive from scratch: you start with a pool try-dive and work your way up to the Open Water Diver, the SSI certification recognised all over the world. Practical lessons take place in a heated pool in the EUR district, with open-water dives along the Lazio coast — from Santa Marinella to the Tor Paterno Marine Protected Area.
Whether you just want to give it a try, earn your first certification or progress with advanced, specialty, technical, freediving or professional courses, you'll find a tailor-made path, in small groups and guided every step of the way by SSI and DAN instructors. Choose a category above to discover courses, requirements and prices.
A course tailored to your schedule, small groups, real sea dives and the safety of certified training.
You set dates, pace and times around your commitments: evening and weekend courses too, and you move on when you feel ready.
Few people per instructor: more attention, more safety and more time in the water for you.
From theory to real dives along our coast, with equipment always included in the pool.
SSI and DAN certified training, with standards and procedures always respected.
Clear prices, all-inclusive, no surprises. Your first step with us is free.
You never forget your first breath underwater: discover the thrill of moving through a new world, guided step by step by an instructor. The pool try dive is on us — our way of thanking you for your trust.
How the try dive worksYour first certification: dive independently down to 18 m anywhere in the world.
Pool equipment is always included. Rental only applies to the sea dives: if you bring your own scuba gear you pay €470, if you rent it from us €570.
Don't be guided by the starting price alone, which may look higher at first glance: look at what's really included. Professionalism, safety and transparency make the difference — and with us you know exactly what you pay from the start, no surprises.
Advanced and specialty courses (Advanced, Deep, Wreck, Nitrox, Navigation) from €155.
The price shown is for the course only. Sea dives, where required, are extra (from €25); equipment available on request.
To take part in the club's activities you need to become a member: annual membership is €30 and includes insurance and access to all our activities.
Concrete details on how we follow every student, from the pool to the sea.
A maximum of 4 students per instructor, with a certified assistant always present: you are closely supported in every exercise.
Practical sessions take place one evening a week in a heated pool, with our emergency oxygen unit on site.
Dives take place at real Tyrrhenian sites — Santa Marinella, Civitavecchia, the Tor Paterno Marine Protected Area, the Island of Giglio — chosen according to the course and the participants’ level.
We provide the full equipment for the course, serviced and checked. The dive computer stays personal: it’s the first piece of gear we recommend buying (find out why in the FAQ).
SSI certified training; for the Open Water course, basic DAN insurance is included in the price. At sea we rely on dive centres equipped with oxygen and first aid.
After the course you carry on with us: weekend outings, short or long weekends and trips in Italy and abroad. With the ASD membership (€30/year) you get access to all the club’s activities.
The starting price is sometimes lower because it doesn't include everything: the sea dives, equipment rental or certification costs are often left out and get added on later. With us the package is clear and all-inclusive, so from the very start you know exactly what you're paying, with no surprises.
Look at what's really included: the equipment, how many sea dives (and whether they're from shore, from a boat or in a lake), certification and insurance costs, and how many pool sessions before the sea. A serious course is transparent about these points and puts you at ease from the very first contact.
The dive computer is a personal instrument and, for safety reasons, we don't share it between divers: on the same day it would carry over the nitrogen load of whoever used it on the previous dive, throwing off the calculations. That's exactly why it's the first piece of equipment we recommend you buy. During the course the dives are planned and guided by the instructor; when you're ready, we help you choose the model best suited to you.
